We are deeply saddened by the passing of our comrade, Joseph Oduor, a dedicated member of Amnesty International Kenya and the Annual Delegates Conference (ADC) Preparatory Committee.
Joseph brought unwavering commitment, sharp insight, and a calm but powerful presence to every space he entered. As a member of the ADC Preparatory Committee, his contributions went far beyond logistics and planning. He believed in the transformative power of collective action and was deeply invested in ensuring that members’ voices were not only heard but respected and acted upon.
We are grateful for the time we shared with him, for the ideas he shaped, the relationships he nurtured, and the solidarity he lived out so generously.
To his family, friends, and fellow human rights defenders, we offer our deepest condolences. We mourn with you, and we commit to carrying Joseph’s legacy forward in our organising, our advocacy, and our struggle for human rights for all.
Rest in power, Joseph.
