Delighted! 59 university and community organisations heard our call with the Kenya Diaspora Alliance (USA) to self-organise Reading for Freedom events across the month of Madaraka (Freedom). The events will take place in 21 counties, namely, Baringo, Bungoma, Busia, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Isiolo, Kericho, Kiambu, Kisii, Kilifi, Kirinyaga, Kisumu, Machakos, Makueni, Meru, Migori, Mombasa, Nairobi, Nakuru, Siaya, Turkana and Wajir between 7-21 June leading up to the 22 June Atlanta, USA event.
Amnesty International Kenya invites you to contribute to our efforts to put some of the best books of Micere Githae Mugo and Ngugi wa Thiong’o before schools, universities and community libraries and resources across the country. Your contribution will equip each centre with 10 books, event branding posters, book markers and support for their event.
