GHANA MP SAM GEORGE PARTICIPATION IN AFRICA LAW TECH CONFERENCE 2023
Nairobi, 12 July 2023: Amnesty International Kenya is one of several sponsors of the 2023 Law Tech Conference.
It has come to our attention that Ghanaian Member of Parliament. Sam George was a panellist at the Continental Free Trade Agreement session. Sam George is also the proponent of the Ghanaian Family Values Bill, a hate bill that targets and criminalises sexual minorities.
Amnesty International Kenya strongly dis-associates itself from his views on sexual minorities and opposes the hate bill he has sponsored. We reaffirm our solid commitment to building a continent free of discrimination, hatred, and violence for all.
