Not One More! Take a Stand Against Femicide

The lives of women in Kenya are in constant danger simply because they are women. The indifference of the Kenyan government to protect them can no longer be ignored.

Femicide is the most brutal manifestation of violence against women and girls. There are 2.64 cases of femicide per 100,000 women in Kenya. In January 2024, over 10 women have been brutally murdered in Kenya with links to intimate relations.

Femicide can and must be prevented. Violence against women and girls should not be normalized. Taking the crucial step involves: –

  • The Kenyan government prioritizing the investigation and prosecution of femicide cases. There ought to be swift and decisive action in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
  • Sending a strong message against femicide and safeguarding the safety and well-being of our women and girls in Kenya.
  • Amplifying the voices of survivors and supporters to prevent and fight against sexual and gender-based violence.

Make your voice count, take a stand against femicide.
