2021 marks the foundation year of our new 2021-2023 Strategic Framework. Our new vision is Amnesty working with others to reduce inequalities and discrimination and expand active citizenship and freedoms of expression and assembly. More nationally networked and agile, we will directly enable others to respond to rights violations #kwaground skillfully.
2022 will see us take even more bold and decisive steps toward catalysing leadership across the state, civil society and the market that matches our constitutional ambition. I invite you to hold us accountable and create with us this reimagined Amnesty. To paraphrase Alice Walker, the world can change, but only if we love ourselves and Kenya in enough numbers that we cause it to transform. I close my annual reflection with a call for you again to become an active member of Amnesty International Kenya.
