Amnesty International Report 2022/23

The State of the World’s Human Rights

We are thrilled to invite you to the launch of Amnesty International Report 2022/23: The State of the World’s Human Rights to be held on 28th March 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the University of Nairobi (UON) Towers, Lecture Hall 401. We will also live stream the event.

This year’s report highlights the emerging trends in the freedom of expression and assembly, excessive use of force and extrajudicial executions, forced evictions, right to health, and women’s rights, among others. The global report covers 161 countries and focuses on economic, social and cultural rights, rights of internally displaced people, refugees and migrants, discrimination and marginalization, and the climate crisis.

The launch will feature a presentation and an interactive panel discussion on what this year’s report means for the state of human rights in Kenya, Africa and the world. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for networking, engaging with like-minded individuals, and learning about taking human rights action together.

We hope that you will join us at the launch event, either physically or virtually and be part of this crucial conversation. Please RSVP by clicking on the button below to confirm your attendance. Space is limited, so we encourage you to reserve your spot as soon as possible.
